Everyone has a legacy. Whether rich or poor, single or married, every individual will someday leave behind those things for which they will be remembered.
We've purposed in our family to be legacy makers and our desire is to help you create a memorable legacy. Will you join us? We have several easy-to-implement ideas to help; just look for the Legacy Maker activities and challenges throughout the site. We've even made a few of them available to download.
Take a look at some of the ideas others have shared in the Legacy Matters blog. Or better yet, share one of your ideas for creating lasting memories with family and friends.
One way that we create memories in our home is to share a historical fact each morning to learn how others have created their own legacy. We'll publish some of more interesting facts below in the feature below.
June 20th, 1782. Colonial Americans this week chose the Bald Eagle as their national emblem. Benjamin Franklin was unhappy with the choice, preferring the turkey! The majestic eagle today lives only in North America and Siberia. It likes to perch in high places along rivers and lakes. From such heights eagles are able to see targets just one foot in size at a distance of two miles. Eagles have a visual resolving power 50-100 times greater than the human eye. Every animal on earth displays created complexity. Bald Eagles are now protected from hunting in all states.
